Membership in ARWA

Membership in the Alaska Rural Water Association is open to Alaska water and wastewater utilities, companies and individuals that support and/or promote the purposes of the Association. Membership dues are used to help all Alaskan water systems. Annual dues are based on membership class and/or size of utility. Please see the membership application for more details on annual dues, or for definitions of membership classes and current annual dues, see the ARWA By-Laws.

Please review the following categories to determine your membership classification.

Active Members
Water and wastewater utilities serving populations of less than 10,000 may become Active members and receive ARWA reports and publications. Active Members are empowered to vote on Association matters. Six of the seven seats on the ARWA Board of Directors are dedicated to Active Members. Only Active Member Directors can hold offices on the ARWA Board.

Associate Members

The Associate Members annually elect a representative to the Board of Directors to serve a one year term. The Associate Member Director may vote on matters before the Board and may be chairman of one or more of the committees of the Board, but can not hold office on the Board.
